Vanessa Issa, Lebanese born and raised, began her acting career in Lebanon, then moved to Qatar and is now based in Vancouver, Canada. For the past decade, she acted in award-winning shorts, theatre plays, TV shows and commercials.
Her love for the film and showbusiness industries took her from working in the makeup and casting departments to being hired as an entertainment manager, fashion show director, stage producer, and becoming the General Manager of a talent agency in the Gulf.
She also organized and produced a series of workshops in Lebanon representing the Michael Chekhov Europe Training, after having participated in their workshop in Italy. She pursued her acting studies in Vancouver Acting School and Langara College Film Arts and trained all over local studios.
She won the Vancouver Monologue Show and was brought to panels of international festivals such as the MENA Film Festival and the Lebanese Film Festival in Canada. Vanessa currently stars in a highly anticipated film undergoing a global festival circuit slated for release in fall of 2024. She strives to authentically represent Middle Eastern women on screen, while advocating for underrepresented groups.
